Flight delay compensation

If your flight arrived more than three hours late, you may be owed up to £520 per passenger. Claims companies take a share of it. We're building a simpler way to claim.

What it will cover

  • Delays of three hours or more
  • Flights from UK airports on any airline
  • Flights into the UK on UK or EU airlines

What you should know now

  • £220 under 1,500 km, £350 for 1,500 to 3,500 km, and £260 or £520 over 3,500 km, depending on how late you arrived.
  • Airlines don't have to pay for extraordinary circumstances like severe weather, but a routine technical fault usually doesn't count.
  • You claim from the airline first. It's free.
  • If the airline says no or doesn't reply within eight weeks, you can go to its dispute scheme or the CAA.

How it will work

  1. Enter your flight details.
  2. We check whether your delay qualifies and how much you're owed.
  3. We write your claim for you to send to the airline.
