Jet2 delay compensation: how to claim
Jet2 is a UK airline, so UK261 covers its flights from UK airports and into the UK.

How to do it
- Under UK rules, if you arrive more than three hours late you can claim £220 (under 1,500 km), £350 (1,500 to 3,500 km), or £260 or £520 (over 3,500 km, depending on how late you arrive) per passenger.
- Claim directly from the airline first, in writing. It's free and you don't need a claims company.
If Jet2 says no
- Jet2 isn't listed as a member of either approved dispute scheme. If it rejects your claim, the CAA's Passenger Advice and Complaints Team (PACT) may take it up, but PACT can't make a binding decision.
- After that, the last resort is the small claims court.
Worth knowing about Jet2
Jet2 lost the Court of Appeal case Huzar v Jet2.com (2014), which decided that a technical fault arising from the normal running of the aircraft usually isn't an 'extraordinary circumstance'. So 'technical problem' isn't automatically a reason to refuse compensation.
